Indeed, Mid Century Modern for the 21st Century
San Bruno is a neighborly urban/suburban community in San Mateo County, bordering South San Francisco on the North and Millbrae on the South. It’s a great location, about 15 minutes to San Francisco, about 10 minutes to SFO, 9 minutes to BART and just over the hill to the Pacific Coast.
There are tons of restaurants of every nationality within a 5-minute drive … from Westborough Square to San Bruno Town Center to Serramonte a few more minutes north. Stores like Lowes, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot are all within 10 minutes.
History has it that Captain Bruno Heceta named San Bruno Mountain after his patron saint in 1775. San Bruno is named after that land mass on this side of the peninsula. Not surprisingly, Google decided to put it’s You-Tube headquarters there as it expands its footprint in Silicon Valley. Sinc then San Bruno has started to come into its own, with many young people moving there due to its affordability and casual neighborly lifestyle. Some say it’s the last “affordable” area on the Peninsula, affordable being a word we use lightly with home prices ranging from $1 million to $2 plus million. Population now is about 50,000. Climate is temperate, hovering around 60’s to 70’s, most of the year. More landscaped and with more parks than it’s neighbor to the north, a lot of people from all over are now making San Bruno their home.
